If you had the ability to record one last song, that you knew would be your last,  but you also knew would be perfect in every way, affecting people exactly how you wanted it to affect them,  what would that song be, and what would be the overall theme or "elements" of that song?

Imagine a song with just my voice, singing in your ear as if I was standing right next to you. Imagine knowing from the first note that this song is about you. Imagine hearing the words you've always struggled to find to describe your innermost feelings. Imagine listening to this song while crying, laughing and making life-changing decisions. That's the kind of song I'd like to write. If I ever do, please let me know and I'll make it my last. Thank you for asking. //marcus

Are there any plans to record a new album?

Yes, I've made quite a few audio sketches of new ideas, just me singing and playing the piano, and I'm looking forward to starting working with the band real soon to develop and gradually record some songs. Hopefully this way of working will be less time-consuming than the making of While we fall. But there's no timetable yet. Thank you for asking! //marcus

When are you going to play in Gothenburg again? Asking since neither of us can come to Sticky Fingers the 29th of April (since we are in London, seeing the Queen...).

No shows booked at the moment, but I'm sure it won't be too long. I hope the Queen treated you well. //marcus

Who are the four persons photographed in the "Not love EP" booklet?

The first picture shows Ingrid, painter and neighbour of my mum's, sitting in her studio beside her self-portrait. The second one is Kurth, a policeman from the Swedish town of Kungaelv, posing in the police station garage. Next is Per, pastor of the Free Church parish "Ordet" in Munkedal, Sweden, photographed in the parish's combined church and flea market. And on the final spread you see my girlfriend of nine years, Hanna, feeling a bit cold on Dr Fries Torg, a Gothenburg square famous for its 50's architecture. Thank you for asking! //marcus

Where did the name dimbodius come from?

This is actually something I'm asked quite frequently. The surname Dimbodius relates to the small village of Dimbo in the southwest of Sweden. The Latin suffix -ius, meaning pertaining to, related to or simply from, was used, during the Roman empire, to create names (adjectify nouns). As Christianity spread across Europe during the Middle Ages it was taken up as a way of assigning surnames to those studying theology at the universities, one of whom, Andreas Svenonis Dimbodius, was a 17:th century ancestor of mine. (i.e Latin for Anders Svensson from Dimbo)  //marcus

Amaro, Santiago, 2006-02-28

Don't you get mad when people compare your music with your influences?

I think we all have a need to describe new things and association is often the easiest way. Comparisons happen to every band and usually go away with time. dimbodius has been compared to music I love, music I don't like and music I've never heard but what matters to me is if people compare it to music that means something to them. Then I'm happy regardless of my own feelings for that band. Thank you for asking! //marcus

Niclas, Stockholm, 2006-02-23

What is most important to you about your music?

That's a big question but I'll give it a shot. Making music relates to many of my basic needs. The need to be creative, the need to experience emotions, the need to understand myself, the need for appreciation and recognition, the need to build an identity, the need to escape everyday life, the need to be in control, the need to make something lasting etc. It would be impossible to single out any one as the most important. Thank you for asking! //marcus

any update on a new CD?

J.C. Tremblay, Goderich, Ontario CANADA, 2008-05-27 www.dpstudiotech.com

I was listening to Flashback Alternatives on iTunes and i came across one of your songs. Did anybody ever say you sounded somewhat like Edward Ka-Spel of the Legendary Pink Dots? I like this style and the melange of electro-acoustic elements and varied song styles BRAVO!
Keep it up!

The mood of the songs and the singer's voice and the lyrics are evocative and compelling. At the same time, the orchestration, the beat, the production - its great music, well put together.

Mac, CD Baby

From beginning to end this is a true masterpiece. I have played the cd over and over again and it tends to get better and better. The cd has pressure and nerve all the way through. This is no rising star, in my ears he is already a big star."

Joost Hegle,
Nephilius

I stumbled across this CD by accident and it was one of the best accidents ever. Just beautiful, emotional and perfect in every way. I have never said this before about any of the 1600 cds I own, but if I could have ever written an album as an artist, it would be this one. The best thing I have bought in years.

Chad,

CD Baby

Imagine the raw emotions running rampant on The Cure’s Disintegration and Blood Flowers and you’re close to While We Fall. This is a grandiose collection of larger-than-life songs that elevate this criminally unknown to heroic proportions."
